We went to the Utah State Fair with our friends Lindsay and Mandi Workman. It was raining all day before and then after we left, but not a drop fell while we walked around. Olivia rode the pony. She was the only one when we got there (because of the weather) so she had her pick of the ponies. His name was Nephi.
There were the usual barn animals, etc. and people at booths selling "junk". We made it out with full bellies and tired legs. The best part was a "cover band" singing all evening songs from the band "Smashmouth". We made comments all night how awful the band was. The lead singer was completely off and the songs just sounded horrible. At one point we rounded the corner and on the marquee was "Smashmouth -- 7:30 p.m. We couldn't beleive it. I think there was a grand total of four people in the stands. After every song there was complete silence -- not a clap, shout, or anything.
