Olivia and her cousins Kacie, Gracie & Ammon played on the slip n' slide at Nana & Papa Strong's house. The rest of us watched their reactions. Olivia and Kacie complained the water was too cold but Gracie and Ammon didn't seem to mind.

Salt Lake Greek Festival 2006

Kelly's brother Kyle came from Atlanta to visit us for a long weekend. We spent Saturday trying Greek food and enjoying the entertainment at the Greek Festival in downtown Salt Lake. We were sad to see Uncle Kyle leave. Olivia enjoyed the cotton candy and we all enjoyed Kyle's company. Before we turned in for the night I check up on Olivia and discovered she had simply "crashed" on her bed next to her new doll Uncle Kyle got her for her birthday. The cotton-candy must have finally worn off.

Olivia Applies "Make-up" to Her Dolls

It was a late Monday night and we had Olivia take a bath and get ready for bed. When Lisa went into her room to get Livi's pajamas she discovered that Olivia applied make-up with crayons to her dolls.

I believe it was one of the most humerous moments we've had as parents trying to "punish" her for doing it all while keeping a straight face. We had to take a picture to remember this moment. Lisa didn't appreciate my comments that they looked like "street-walkers" or "battered children".

Alaska Trip -- July 2006

Lisa, Olivia & JJ went to Alaska a few days earlier than Kelly to help with the new family cabin -- King's Roe. Lisa's cousin's husband Chris was nice enough to come up and help with the sheetrock. We took some time to fish for halibut and salmon. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

JJ's Baby Blessing Pics

We had quite the family gathering for JJ's baby blessing. We enjoyed everybody's company celebrating this special day with us. Thanks to all who came!

Grandma King Visits

Grandma King got to visit for a while and get to know JJ. The first night or two she was here Lisa and Kelly decided to go out on a date. Just minutes before leaving, Olivia dance her way into the corner of the side table. An evening spent in the clinic and many stiches later (she was really brave) was the excitement for the evening. We enjoyed Grandma's help and was glad she came to visit.

Bringing JJ Home

It's finally the day we get to bring JJ home. After a week of driving back and forth from the hospital, we get to take him home. Though he will remain on oxygen while at home, it beats hanging out at the hospital any longer. It's also the first time Olivia is able to hold her brother -- something she's been dying to do.

Olivia Meets JJ For the First Time

JJ's nurse was kind enough to take JJ to the window and hook him up on oxygen so Livi could see her little brother. All we could do was promise that he was around. It was a really exciting moment for Olivia. She blew him lots of kisses.

JJ -- Two Days Old

Pretty much the same status-quo as yesterday. He's still on the feeding tube and oxygen. We'd like to get him weaned off of both ASAP. Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

JJ -- 1 Day Old

JJ is doing well. He's on the feeding tube and receives oxygen but is otherwise doing well. He dwarfs all other premie babies in the NICU.
